Punjab Kings sensation Priyansh Arya picks his list of ideal batters including Virat Kohli

The previous season's Indian Premier League (IPL) dragged Priyansh Arya under the spotlight. The batter emerged as one of the most dominating openers of the entire edition's IPL. IPL 2025 bought the young batter the fame he deserved.

Priyansh Arya first grabbed eyeballs when he hit six sixes in an over on his way to 120 off 50 balls in a Delhi Premier League game. IPL franchises were curious about the emerging batsman; the intense battle proved that. Due to some aggressive bidding, Arya, whose base price was INR 30 lakh, sold for INR 3.8 crore. Punjab Kings (PBKS) were eventually able to secure the service of the left-handed batsman.

He categorized his idea batters according to the field zone. He idolized Yuvraj Singh for his power-hitting abilities, Virat Kohli for technique and temperament, Rohit Sharma for off-side game, VVS Laxman for leg side, and Suryakumar Yadav for innovations.

Priyansh Arya's inclusion in the squad proved to be a masterstroke for PBKS. Behind their impressive run in the tournament, the batter, without any doubt, played a pivotal role. He played in 17 IPL 2025 matches and scored a total of 475 runs at an average of 27.94, including his highest individual 103-run innings.
