Rajasthan Royals to get this ground as new venue for IPL 2026
The inagural champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rajasthan Royals, will get this grund as the new venue for the 2026 season of the competition, keeping distance from Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) are in need to relocate their home ground for the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) from their old grund0 Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) having discussions with the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) confirming its readiness to host the franchise.
The reports have revealed that the MCA stadium in Pune will host the home games for the Rajasthan Royals for the new edition. An operations team from the franchise explored various options for a new base, with their search reaching the MCA Stadium in Pune after preliminary discussions were held between the MCA and the RR officials.

“Yes, they were here to find out details about the capacity of the stadium, the nature of the pitches, and hotels in the city.” The MCA official expressed, adding that “Our president, Mr. Rohit Pawar, is very keen that the IPL returns to the city. He is making all possible efforts” in the last week of November last year.
Rajasthan Royals to host home IPL 2026 games at MCA Stadium in Pune
The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium hasn’t hosted any game of the IPL in the last three seasons of the event. An IPL game was last played at the venue in 2022 when the tournament was played in only three venues across Mumbai and Pune, apart from the Playoffs, which were organized by the Eden Gardens and the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Rajasthan finished the previous season of the IPL in the penultimate position with only four wins in 14 games at a net run rate of eight, as the inaugural champions of the competition now look to improve their performance in the 2026 season.
Rajasthan will need to appoint their new captain for the next season, with Sanju Samson being traded to the Chennai Super Kings for the next season of the event. They, however, got their former and veteran spinner, Ravindra Jadeja, back into the side along with the pace bowling all-rounder, Sam Curran.
