Devdutt Padikkal produced one of the finest knocks of the season to steer Karnataka into the quarterfinals of the Ranji Trophy 2025–26 with a thrilling five-wicket win over Punjab at the IS Bindra Cricket Stadium, Mohali.

Karnataka faced an early challenge during their final day chase of 250 when KL Rahul got out. The captain of the team Devdutt Padikkal took command of the match by scoring 120 runs without getting out from 85 deliveries.
