Ravi Shastri stand set for grand unveiling at Wankhede Stadium on April 9
The Ravi Shastri Stand at Wankhede Stadium is set for a grand unveiling on April 9, marking a special tribute to the former India coach and all-rounder.

Honouring cricketers who have represented the country or done exceptionally well in the sport for a long time is a mere show of respect. Amidst the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) are getting ready to honour some of the best former players of the country. The Apex Council of the association reached a collective decision in February to honour the players.
Former cricketer and head coach Ravi Shastri will be honoured with his own stand at the Wankhede Stadium on April 9. Along with him, the association is also dedicating specific gates to Dilip Sardesai, Eknath Solkar, and Diana Edulji.
