Watch: Ravichandran Ashwin brutally trolls Pakistan for conceding 175 in ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026

Defending champions India just thrashed arch-rival Pakistan in their Group A contest of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 at Colombo last Sunday (February 15). Former Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin brutally trolled the Pakistan team for conceding 175 runs against India on the tough batting pitch. 

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha first surprised many cricket fans by deciding to bowl first after winning the toss, while the chase always became tougher at this venue in the tournament, as all the previous three matches ended in favour of the defending teams.

IND vs PAK, ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026: Ishan Kishan slammed 77 runs, as India scored 175/7

Indian opener Ishan Kishan played a thrashing knock of 77 runs in 40 balls, as the Men in Blue were in total control. Tilak Varma (25), captain Suryakumar Yadav (32), and Shivam Dube (27) also played valuable knocks, along with Rinku Singh's cameo of 11 not out in four balls. These batting performances helped India manage the very challenging total of 175/7 in 20 overs. While some balls were turning, and the batters were significantly struggling to time the ball properly, along with handling the big boundaries challenge, it was surely a very tough total to even imagine.

Follow-on dene wala pitch hain ye: Ravichandran Ashwin 

Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin felt shocked by how Pakistan managed to concede so many runs on this pitch while using six spinners with 18 overs. 

In a video chat, Ashwin hilariously said, "174 on this pitch; follow-on dene wala pitch hain ye. Arey, such main. 4-din ka game hain, 150 runs hain follow-on ke liye, 5-din ka 200 hain. Actually, T20 main follow-on dena hain, to ye score pakki hain. Agar aur 20 run bana lete hain, hum de sakte hain. (174 on this pitch; this is a follow-on score on this pitch. In a 4-day game, the follow-on score is 150 runs, and 200 runs for a 5-day game. Actually, if there is a follow-on in T20 cricket, this is the score for it [referring to India's 175/7]. If [we] can add 20 more runs, we can force them to follow-on)."
