Ravindra Jadeja made a dream return for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026. The all-rounder gave a brilliant performance against his previous franchise, the Chennai Super Kings. Ravindra Jadeja took two quick wickets and put the CSK team in trouble in the early stages of the game.

Ravindra Jadeja bowled the eighth over of the match. On his second ball, he trapped Sarfaraz Khan lbw with a clever delivery. Sarfaraz tried to sweep but missed the line as the ball straightened and hit him on the pads. The umpire raised his finger immediately, and the review confirmed the ball would hit the middle stump. Sarfaraz walked back after scoring 17 runs off 12 balls.

Jadeja didn’t stop there and struck again in the same over. Shivam Dube, who had just hit a big six, tried to attack once more. Jadeja bowled it full and wide, tempting the batter into another big shot. The all-rounder made a quick impact in his very first over. However, Dube was not able to make proper contact and got caught in the deep. Ravi Bishnoi completed the catch, and CSK was in trouble at 57/6. However, the highlight of this over was not only the wickets but also the way Ravindra Jadeja celebrated the wickets as he came up with a new “gun” gesture celebration, pretending to shoot the batter after taking the wicket.

Ravindra Jadeja’s double strike stuns CSK

Jadeja’s double-wicket over broke the backbone of Chennai Super Kings’ middle order. His sharp bowling showed why Rajasthan Royals trusted him again after CSK released him. Fans of CSK were emotional when Jadeja left, but his performance proved his value once again. His impact in the middle overs completely changed the game’s momentum.

Sarfaraz Khan had tried to rebuild the innings after coming in as an impact substitute. He hit a few boundaries but couldn’t survive Jadeja’s smart bowling. Earlier, debutant Matt Short also failed to make an impact, scoring just 2 runs before getting out. CSK kept losing wickets at regular intervals and never looked settled.

The wicket of Shivam Dube was equally significant, as Dube is known to be an aggressive player on spin bowlers. Although Dube managed to hit a big six, he was not able to continue his attacking game. Ravindra Jadeja outsmarted Dube, and the double strike in a single over proved that Ravindra Jadeja is a very experienced player and that he is one of the most dangerous all-rounders in the world of T20.

As of writing, Rajasthan Royals are 2/0 in 0.1 overs while chasing 127 against Chennai Super Kings, needing 126 runs from 119 balls.
