Before this, Team India's T20 World Cup winning post had the most likes on social media, with 6.3 million likes.

The 18th IPL season started on March 22nd. Within the first week, the defending champions broke Instagram records, becoming the first IPL team to reach 20 million followers. They passed teams like the Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians to do this. Currently, CSK is second with 18.6 million followers, and MI has 18 million. Because of this, it's not surprising that RCB now has the most-liked Instagram post by any team.

RCB batted first and scored 190 runs, losing nine wickets. Kohli was the best scorer with 43 runs from 35 balls. For Punjab, Arshdeep Singh took three wickets for 40 runs, and Kyle Jamieson took three for 48. Both helped slow down RCB's scoring.

In reply, PBKS tried hard but only managed 184 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets for 38 runs, and Krunal Pandya gave away only 17 runs while taking two wickets. Their bowling helped RCB win, making fans in Bengaluru very happy.

Individually, Virat Kohli, who is the most followed cricketer on Instagram, has the top four most-liked cricket posts on Instagram. Virat's post after the T20 World Cup win has 22.5 million likes. His recent post about RCB's win has 19.8 million likes.
