Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Saturday morning announces financial aid for the 11 families that lost their loved ones in the stampede incident outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4, 2025. Taking to their official social media platforms, RCB announced financial help of Rs 25 lakhs for each of the eleven victim's families. In a heartfelt post, the champion of IPL 2025 announced their initiative to support those families. On June 4, a large number of people gathered to be a part of RCB's maiden IPL trophy-winning celebration. But soon, the celebration turned into a tragedy.
"Our hearts broke on June 4, 2025. We lost eleven members of the RCB family. They were part of us. Part of what makes our city, our community & our team unique. Their absence will echo in the memories of each one of us," RCB stated in their official statement.
"No amount of support can ever fill the space they’ve left behind. But as a first step, and with the deepest respect, RCB has extended ₹25 lakh each to their families. Not just as financial aid, but as a promise of compassion, unity, and ongoing care."

Begining of RCB Cares
Further in the statement, the franchise declared their new initiative, RCB Cares, a new long-term commitment from the franchise. "This is also the beginning of RCB CARES: a long-term commitment for meaningful action that begins by honoring their memory. Every step forward will reflect what the fans feel, expect, and deserve," RCB said.
In the final of IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) in a tough fight. Batting first, RCB posted a total of 190/9 in 20 overs. The competitive target proved too much for PBKS. They started well, but a catch from Phil Salt near the boundary line and a memorable bowling spell from Krunal Pandya ensured RCB as the winner of IPL 2025. Shashank Singh pushed himself hard and scored 61 off 30, but as a team, PBKS could only get 184 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
