Central Zone took on North East Zone in the second quarter final of the Duleep Trophy 2025 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground B in Bengaluru on August 28. North East Zone won the Toss and opted to bowl first. After losing Aayush Pandey’s wicket early, Aryan Juyal and Danish Malewar stitched a spectacular partnership for the second wicket before Juyal was retired hurt. He scored 60 off 100 balls laced with eight boundaries.

But it was Rajat Patidar who stole the show coming into bat at number four. He scored a stupendous 100 in just 80 balls complimented by 18 fours and 2 sixes. On the other hand, at the end or 62 overs, Danish Malewar’s score was unbeaten 137. Both Malewar and Patidar remain unbeaten and Central Zone are 319/1 in  62 overs and are cruising towards a big score with both set batters eying for a mammoth score.
