IPL 2025: Rain May Disrupt KKR vs RCB Opening Match at Eden Gardens

The first match of IPL 2025 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is scheduled for March 22 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. However, weather reports suggest that rain might disrupt the game.

Weather Forecast
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds from March 20 to 22 in Kolkata. An anticyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal is causing unstable weather in the region. The forecast also mentions lightning, hailstorms, and wind speeds reaching 40-50 km/h.

Impact on the Match
If heavy rain continues, the match may be delayed or even canceled. In case of abandonment, both teams will receive one point each.
