The Board of Control for Cricket in India Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can make a huge decision about the ongoing IPL 2025 amid the latest conflict between India and Pakistan. Questions are raised about the continuation of the tournament, especially after the Punjab Kings vs. Delhi Capitals match was called off just after 10.1 overs at Dharamshala.
Spectators present at the gallery evacuated from the stadium and raised security concerns. Out of 74 matches, 58 have already been played; the group stage is almost at the end. Some options, like rescheduling or changing venues, are on the table for BCCI officials to think about.
But the latest reports have suggested that the board can consider the cancellation of IPL 2025. Apart from that, officials can think about hosting the remaining matches to shift outside of India, where players can roam and play safely. Dubai can be a perfect fit according to conditions and budget, but the current situation is perhaps not suitable for hosting matches in the desert kingdom.

Previously, in 2009, the second season was hosted by South Africa, so there are some strong beliefs that in any case, BCCI hesitates to host the remaining IPL 2025 matches in India, then they can consider South Africa as an alternative nation. Though the official announcement regarding this is yet to be confirmed by the board.
After yesterday's PBKS vs. DC match event, other IPL matches are also under scrutiny. Today (May 8), Lucknow Super Giants are ready to take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, which is also in doubt as per the latest reports.
Reports further suggested that the cricket board has to make decisions according to the government's instructions. If the government puts a red flag on hosting matches, then BCCI will have no option but to call them off.
If the reports are to be believed, then now BCCI has to choose between two options if they are unable to arrange the remaining matches of the tournament: cancel the remaining IPL 2025 or shift it to another nation where there is no tension.
