Punjab Police later clarified that the video was not recorded in Punjab but in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. The police urged people to verify information before sharing such posts online, stressing that responsible sharing is important to avoid spreading misleading information.

Punjab Police has debunked the claim linked to the viral video and clarified that the footage was recorded in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, not Punjab. The police also said that the video had no connection with Punjab Police or any incident in the state.

The police warned social media users against assuming the location of a video simply because it contains Punjabi audio. “A Punjabi audio track does not make an incident a Punjab incident,” the police said, urging users to check the facts and location before sharing such content.

Punjab Police also directly addressed Harbhajan Singh’s post and asked users and social media accounts to avoid spreading misleading information. “The video being circulated is from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan—not Punjab—and has no connection with Punjab Police,” the police said. It added, “Responsible sharing matters.”
