No sign of injury. Rishabh Pant in full flow. It was only the fourth ball of Day 3, and he went down to the ground to smash a boundary against Jofra Archer.

After the dismissals of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Karun Nair, and captain Subhman Gill, respectively, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant have to accomplish a mountain-sized task. After Rahul and Pant, there are only Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy who can be considered as credible batters.

The combination to calm and compose KL Rahul and the swashbuckling Rishabh Pant has the capability to cause a major turnaround in the clash. Apart from the opposing nature of their batting, the left-handed and right-handed combination can provide team England unnecessary troubles. With the early intentions of Pant, it is expected that Day 3 is going to be exciting if he remains strong on the track.

Pant swung his blade for a 4

Jofra Archer pitched the ball right on the good length area, angled towards the off stump against the southpaw. Pant stepped out from his crease and swung his blade to send the ball over the 30-yard circle for a lightning-fast boundary. The crowd at Lord's loved to see Rishabh for his unorthodox batting.

By the drink break, India was trailing behind England by 190 runs. Pant was only 4 runs away from his another Test half-century. India got a promising 52 runs in 13 overs. After the first hour of play on Day 3, India maintained their plans properly, which was losing no wicket during the initial stage of a new day. Unlike Day 2, there has been little assistance from the surface for the bowlers so far today. At this stage, England may have to show patience for a while.
