The swashbuckling keeper reached his landmark hundred with style. Despite consuming tremendous pressure over the last few weeks, Team India has been experiencing a dream run for the last couple of days. Day 1 in the Headingley stadium concluded with tons from the young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and the newly appointed captain Shubman Gill.

India was at 359/3 when Day 2 began. Rishabh Pant, who already got a half-century on the last day, is well settled on the track and hinted at taking an aggressive approach. In the last over of Day 1, Pant hoisted a Chris Woakes delivery for 6; he did the same when a hundred was within his grip.
