Team India vice-captain Rishabh Pant drops a huge update about his fitness ahead of the 4th Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, which is scheduled to start on July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester. Pant shared a video from his official social media account where he looked absolutely fit and fine.

The short video starts with Rishabh playing with a football, then his fielding drills and sweating in the net with a bat. He batted in the net without any visible discomfort. Picked up the ball with bare hands, without gloves, flawlessly. During the whole video, there is no sign of injury.

After the 3rd Test, which was at the Lord's cricket ground, there are rumors about the keeper-batter's injury. The southpaw picked up an injury during Day 1 of the third Test in a Jasprit Bumrah over. Pant dove to his left side to stop the moving ball. He managed to touch it but was not able to halt the ball properly. In that process, he injured his left index finger. Team India support staff rush into the field to provide Rishabh some medical support. But it was not enough to heal the amount of pain Pant was dealing with. As soon as the over was completed, Rishabh left the ground. During his absence, Dhruv Jurel did the wicketkeeping job.

Pant was looking in discomfort during his batting in the second innings. He faced multiple deliveries one-handed. But now, after the latest video shared by the keeper himself, the situation looks well under control.

Team India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate on Thursday informed, "He will bat in Manchester before the Test. Look, I don't think the injury is going to keep Rishabh out of the Test, no matter what. He batted with quite a lot of pain in the third test, and it's only going to get easier and easier on his finger. And keeping is obviously the last part of the process to make sure that he can keep. We don't want to go through that again, where we have to replace the keeper after three innings."
