After a hectic two months in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, where Rishabh Pant struggled with his own form in the batting department apart from leading the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the event, the star batter took a refreshing break in Uttarakhand to offer prayers as the video went viral on social media.

Pant has shared a post on the social media handle, in which he is seen offering prayers at a temple in Uttarakhand. His post’s caption revealed a close relation between the star player and the city where he was born in 1997.

From IPL 2026 struggles to dropping the LSG captaincy — Why Pant's temple visit feels like a reset

Since joining the Lucknow side in 2025, Pant has smashed 581 runs in 26 innings of the IPL. In 2026, the left-handed batter nailed 312 runs in 13 innings at an average of 28.36 and a strike rate of 138.05, thanks to one half-century at the best score of unbeaten 68 runs. In 2025, he made 269 runs at a strike rate of 133.16.

After the Lucknow side failed to reach the Playoffs in two successive seasons, including the shocking finish with the wooden spoon in 2026, Pant decided to step down from the captaincy of the franchise.
