RJ Mahvash has finally spoken openly about the rumours linking her with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. For many months, fans believed the two were dating because they were often seen together in public and interacted regularly on social media. The rumours became even stronger during Chahal’s divorce from Dhanashree Verma.

However, Mahvash has now made it clear that there was never any romantic relationship between them. In her recent interview with Pinkvilla, she explained that she was only supporting Chahal during one of the most difficult phases of his life. She said the entire situation was being made much bigger than it actually was.

'I Was Everywhere With Him' — RJ Mahvash breaks silence on Chahal's mental health struggle after Dhanashree divorce

Mahvash revealed that Chahal was going through serious emotional pain after his divorce and needed close friends around him. She said she stayed beside him because he was mentally struggling and needed support during that period. According to her, the main focus was helping Chahal stay positive and complete his IPL schedule peacefully.

Speaking about their bond, Mahvash said, “No, that was never the case. I have been a great friend to him. At that time, he needed a good friend. So we were all just focusing on him to get done with his IPL season. I stood with him as a support system.” She also added that she would always continue supporting him fearlessly as a friend.

Mahvash also explained that people misunderstood their friendship and quickly started creating stories online. She said fans often make a big issue out of small things without knowing the real truth. According to her, friendship and emotional support should not always be seen as a relationship.

From inseparable to unfollowed — The argument that broke RJ Mahvash and Chahal's friendship

The rumours became stronger when fans noticed that Mahvash and Chahal had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Since the two were earlier seen together regularly, social media users quickly started guessing that they had a major fight or breakup. The situation created huge discussions online.

Mahvash, however, denied all breakup rumours and called it a normal argument between close friends. She said, “People have a habit of making a fuss over small things. Like two friends had an argument, and they followed and unfollowed each other. And the matter ends there.” She also said true friends should not keep grudges over small fights.

She further added that she still wishes the best for Chahal and has no bitterness toward him. According to Mahvash, small misunderstandings happen in every friendship, but that does not mean the relationship completely ends. She asked people not to overreact to social media activity.

Chahal's darkest chapter — Divorce, mental health battle and a friendship that couldn't survive

Earlier, during Raj Shamani’s podcast, Yuzvendra Chahal spoke openly about the difficult phase after his divorce and admitted that moving on was not easy for him. He revealed that he spent hours crying, suffered anxiety attacks, and struggled to sleep properly during that period. Chahal also said that online trolling made things even worse, especially when people falsely called him a cheater and spread negative comments about him and RJ Mahvash on social media.

Chahal said, “For the first time, when I was seen with someone, people started linking us right away. Even though she clarified it, it was very hard for her. She was called a homewrecker… people said really nasty things.” His statement showed how deeply the rumours affected both of them personally.

Despite the recent social media drama, Mahvash still maintains a positive attitude toward Chahal. She said she will always stand by him as a friend and continue wishing him success in life, including his IPL journey with the Punjab Kings. Even though their friendship faced heavy public attention and misunderstandings, she believes there is no reason to keep negativity between them.
