Mumbai Indians IPL 2025: Will Rohit Sharma miss the upcoming match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru also? This question worries the Mumbai Indians and Rohit fans more after the update given by Mahela Jayawardene, the head coach of Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians have tasted the worst in their 3 games out of 4. They managed to win over Kolkata Knight Riders at home after back-to-back defeats against Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. Last night, it was a tight game between MI and Lucknow Super Giants, but LSG had the better edge to make the last laugh. A controversial decision by the 5-time IPL champion side, retired out Tilak Varma and put Mitchell Santner on the field, only provided them another frustrating moment.

Sharma's injury update

Along with the controversy and match result, the update about Rohit Sharma makes some of the cricket fans more baffled. "Rohit Sharma got a hit on his knee in the IT band; he tried to bat yesterday. He couldn't put any weight on it. It was discomfort for Rohit to bat. So that's why we precautioned; we thought we'd give him a few more days to try & get through that," Mahela Jayawardene said.

MI's opening pair without Rohit Sharma

Rohit missed the LSG game and is now doubtful for their next encounter, which will be against RCB at Wankhede Stadium. The opening pair of Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton for the LSG match produced only 11 runs before Jacks departed for 5; later, Rickelton lost his wicket for only 10.
