He couldn't put any weight on it. It was discomfort for Rohit to bat. So that's why we precautioned; we thought we'd give him a few more days to try & get through that," Mahela Jayawardene said.

Rohit missed the LSG game and is now doubtful for their next encounter, which will be against RCB at Wankhede Stadium. The opening pair of Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton for the LSG match produced only 11 runs before Jacks departed for 5; later, Rickelton lost his wicket for only 10.
