Indian cricketer KL Rahul has vented his frustration at the uncertainty over his spot in the ODI playing XI despite regular performances. Speaking openly, Rahul revealed the frequent questions about his selection whenever there is a series break.

"Each time I play in a series and then there is a break from ODI cricket when we return after four or five months, there is always a doubt 'Will he play in the XI? Where does he fit?' And sometimes, I sit here wondering, what more can I do?" Rahul explained.

The wicketkeeper-batsman, who has played various roles for Team India throughout the years, asserted that he has always performed whenever given a task.

"Wherever I have been asked to play, I have played. And I think I have done my job. Whatever has been instructed to me by Rohit, I have done that to the best of my capabilities," he further added.

Rahul also credited the immense support he has been getting from Indian captain Rohit Sharma, which has made him confident enough to go out and play.

"I know that Rohit feels the same. He has always backed me and supported me. So, there is that confidence going into a game that the captain has my back," Rahul said.
