Amid Team India's surprising defeat against South Africa on February 22 in Ahmedabad, former India skipper Rohit Sharma shared a cryptic post on Instagram. He shared some photos with a message.

Rohit Sharma, under whose leadership India won the T20 World Cup 2024, is currently preparing ahead of the IPL 2026, as he retired from T20 Internationals. The opener is currently active only in the ODIs.

Weeks after the conclusion of the ongoing T20i World Cup, a fresh season of the Indian Premier League will start. Ahead of the new season, Sharma is now busy with prorogations, as for every player, practice is the key, and Rohit is the best example of that.

Rohit Sharma shared the latest photos from his training season

The former skipper shared some glimpses from his practice season with the caption, "Summer is here." This caption can be described in multiple ways. The temperature is gradually increasing after a chilly winter season across the country. And Summer will come lot a lot of warmth. For some cricket fans, Rohit Sharma can be the sun who can bring smiles through his batting in IPL 2026.

Sharma will once again feature for the Mumbai Indians. A few previous reports claimed that the opener asked the management to utilise him as a full-time player, not as an opener. The reports can be true, as Rohit Sharma has locked his target on the ODI World Cup which will be in 2027.
