A few days ago, India’s ODI captain, Rohit Sharma, appeared at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru to give his fitness test ahead of India’s team selection for the upcoming three-match away ODI series against Australia down under. This will be the return of the Nagpur-born in action for the first time since the second qualifier of the IPL.

A few viral videos showed how the Mumbai batter has already started preparation in the nets for the upcoming series, which will be the ideal start for India to prepare for the upcoming 2027 ODI World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, which is going to be Rohit’s last ICC event.

On September 20, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared pictures of Rohit’s interaction with the Under-19 players, including Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre and Bihar’s Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who are going to be the future stars of Indian cricket a decade later. They were also going through their practice in Bengaluru ahead of their Australia series later this month.
