India is currently playing against the England national cricket team in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2026. The winner of this match will face the New Zealand national cricket team in the final.

After winning the toss, England chose to bowl first, forcing India to bat at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Before the start of play, former India captain Rohit Sharma arrived at the stadium to watch the high-voltage semi-final match.

The former Indian skipper was seen standing on the ground, and reports said he was waiting for the trophy ceremony. Fans were cheering and chanting Rohit Sharma’s name in the video.

Star-studded crowd watches IND vs ENG semifinal in Mumbai

Stars from Indian cricket, Bollywood, and business were present as India national cricket team played against England national cricket team in the semifinal of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.

The match was played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Many famous people were seen in the stadium stands.

Former India captain MS Dhoni was seen inside the VIP box with his wife, Sakshi Dhoni. He was clapping and cheering for the Indian team.

Cameras also showed Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni standing together in the booth and supporting the team. Fans enjoyed seeing two World Cup-winning captains together.

Wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul was also present at the stadium. He was sitting with his brother-in-law, Ahan Shetty, in the stands.

India posts strong total in semifinal

After losing the toss, India batted first and started well. Sanju Samson continued his good form and played a big innings.

However, Abhishek Sharma failed to make a big score again. He was dismissed by spin bowling for the third time in the tournament.

Samson scored 89 runs and gave India a strong start. Ishan Kishan also played a quick cameo, scoring 39 runs from 18 balls.

Shivam Dube was promoted in the batting order and scored 43 runs from 25 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed by a stumping and scored only 11 runs.

Hardik Pandya played a fast cameo, scoring 27 runs from 12 balls. Tilak Varma scored 21 runs from 7 balls.

India finished their innings at 253/7, showing strong batting intent in the semifinal match.
