Kohli, Rohit and Bumrah reunite in ODIs for the first time since the 2023 World Cup Final
Virat Kohli didn’t feature in the last ODI series for India against Afghanistan at home as he was ruled out of those three games with an injury that he picked up during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 final for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The question has been on Rohit’s form, which hasn’t confirmed his place yet for the upcoming World Cup. The right-handed opening batter of the blue brigade will look to put up a strong performance in the series. Otherwise, the management may shift their focus towards Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Bumrah will also be back in this format after nearly 30 months. The right-arm pacer didn’t enjoy a great IPL 2026 with an expensive economy in the competition for the Mumbai Indians. His workload will also be managed throughout the series.
