Royal Challengers Bengaluru deny UP Warriorz' RTM to buy Georgia Voll in WPL 2026 auction

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) was in search of various batters in the auction of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026, where they missed quite a few players to the Right to Match (RTM) card. But they were successful in finally signing the Australia batter, Georgia Voll, who would now move from UP to join the Bengaluru side. 

Georgia Voll has featured in six WT20Is for the national side, where she has smashed 210 runs at an average of 35 and a strike rate of 144.82. While in the history of the league, the batter featured in three innings and collected 154 runs at an average of 77 and a strike rate of 167.39, shouldering on two half-centuries at the best score of an unbeaten 99 runs.

Voll will be a massive inclusion in the Bengaluru side due to his incredible hitting, especially the games being played at the small M. Chinnaswamy Ground in Bengaluru. In the ongoing season of the WBBL, Voll has clubbed 114 runs in six innings at a strike rate of around 120 with a best score of 43.

Georgia Voll joins Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s star retained players in WPL 2026

Voll was in a war of the bidding between the Warriorz and the Bengaluru. They got the batter for a price of INR 40 crore before Warriorz activated the Right to Match card (RTM). Bengaluru raised the price to INR 60 lakh to rule out the Warriorz of the race and get the top-order batter.

In the Women’s The Hundred tournament, Voll has smashed 111 runs at a strike rate of 135 for the Birmingham Phoenix. On the other hand, she could also contribute with a couple of overs if needed, as she has done the same in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) history.

Bengaluru had already retained their star captain and opening batter, Smriti Mandhana, and the star wicket-keeper batter, Richa Ghosh, in the side. Australia’s renowned world-class all-rounder, Ellyse Perry, is already with them.
