The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have been really smart with their buys in the mega auction of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 where they had already bought the top order batter from Australia- George Voll- and also bagged the premier all-rounder of South Africa- Nadine de Clerk.

Their focus then shifted to Radha Yadav, the left-arm spinner from the Indian side, who however is quite a experienced member in the shortest format for the national side. In 86 innings of the Women’ T20Is, she has picked up 103 wickets at an average of around 19 and a strike rate of 17.3 with an economy rate of 6.61 thanks to the best bowling figure of 4/23 in an inning.

Radha was part of the Delhi Capitals in the last three seasons where she picked up 14 wickets in 19 innings at an economy rate of around eight. Last year, she bagged no wicket in one innings and that was a concern. But Bengaluru has shown new belief and trust on the spinner.

Radha Yadav to play under Smriti Mandhana in WPL 2026 auction

The bidding started at the price of INR 30 lakh where the Gujarat Giants opened the account at the price before the Bengaluru side joined the party and kept raising the paddle and took the price to INR 65 lakh, which ended up becoming the final price for the Indian spinner. Radha will play under the leadership of Mandhana.

Bengaluru has already retained some of their top players apart from Mandhana- who are the star Indian wicket-keeper batter- Richa Ghosh and the premier Australia all-rounder, Ellyse Perry. Now they have added more star players in the auction.

Bengaluru’s new inclusion, which is the top order batter from Australia- Georgia Voll, will bring a massive balance in the eleven along with the presence of the Protea all-rounder, Nadine de Clerk. The WPL will begin on January 08 and will be played in Mumbai and Vadodara.

Updated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) squad in WPL 2026-

Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Shreyanka Patil, Ellyse Perry, Georgia Voll, Nadine de Klerk, Radha Yadav.
