MI Cape Town will face Sunrisers Eastern Cape in Match No. 26 of the SA20 2025-26 season at Newlands in Cape Town on Friday, January 16. This will be the first meeting between the two teams in the current season.

MI Cape Town have struggled throughout the tournament and are currently placed at the bottom of the points table after eight matches. Their only wins have come against the Joburg Super Kings. The team Led by Rashid Khan, is now hoping to finish the season with a positive note by performing strong at their home ground.

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape, on the other hand, are having a great season. They are sitting on top of the table and also have the best net run rate in the competition. With momentum on their side, the Eastern Cape outfit will try to extend this lead and move closer to securing a top finish.

MICT vs SEC: Pitch Report

The pitch at Newlands usually improves for batting as the match progresses, which will make chasing a good option. Fast bowlers will get some initial movement with a new ball, but on the whole, it seems to be a batting-friendly pitch, and thus another high-scoring match can be expected here.
