The MI Cape Town will play against the Pretoria Capitals in Match 8 of SA20 2025-26 at Newlands on Wednesday, December 31. This will be the final SA20 match of 2025, with the rest of the tournament continuing in the new year.

MI Cape Town are still searching for their first win of the season. They have picked up two points so far due to a washed-out match against Durban’s Super Giants. Despite not winning yet, the side has shown signs of improvement and will be keen to put together a complete performance. Playing at home gives them a good chance to climb up the points table with a win.

The Pretoria Capitals had a rather difficult start to the tournament, as they have lost both their matches. They were defeated by the Joburg Super Kings and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. Currently, they find themselves under the pressure of revamping their performance. With the league moving quickly, the Capitals need a strong showing to get their campaign back on track.

MICT vs PC: Pitch Report

Newlands produced a high-scoring match earlier this season, and another run-filled game is expected. There is pace and bounce on the wicket that helps the batsmen once they get settled. Fast bowlers can also prove valuable with the new ball. Teams may prefer to bat first and put a big score on the board
