SA20 2025-26, Qualifier 1: SEC vs PC

Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) are set to clash with Pretoria Capitals (PC) in Qualifier 1 of SA20 2025-26 at Kingsmead, in Durban, on Wednesday, 21. The winner of this match will move straight into the final, while the losing team will get another chance in Qualifier 2.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape concluded their league rounds at the top of the table. The team won five matches and lost three with two matches washed out. The defending champions are coming into this match with good momentum after beating MI Cape Town by seven wickets in their last league game. Led by Tristan Stubbs, SEC have looked strong with both bat and ball throughout the season.

Pretoria Capitals ended the league phase in second place with five wins and four losses from ten matches. One of their games was abandoned due to rain. The Capitals come into this encounter having won four out of their last five games and thus should be ready for this major encounter. However, they would know that the SEC have beaten them twice this season.

SEC vs PC: Pitch Report

The pitch at Kingsmead has offered a balanced contest this season. The average first-innings score here is around 159. Fast bowlers can get some swing early with the new ball, while batters who spend time at the crease can score freely later on. Teams batting first have had more success, so the toss could play an important role.
