The Sri Lanka A players hilariously checked the bat of Sai Sudharsan after he smashed two successive centuries for India A during the second unofficial Test match at the Galle International Stadium in Galle. The video went viral quite rapidly across social media platforms, as many claimed they had been searching for an AI chip.
Just after the end of the Tri-series among the three A-sides of India, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, the Indian side, under the leadership of Tilak Verma, won the title by beating the hosts in the final, thanks to the superb 97-run knock of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

A few months ago, one of the Pakistan analysts, during his podcast, claimed that Sooryavanshi had been using an AI chip in his bat during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, where he smashed 776 runs in 2026 out of 16 innings at an average of 48.50 and a blistering strike rate of 237.30 with five fifties and one century.

Sudharsan has also been in superb touch with the bat in the ongoing two-match unofficial Test series with two successive centuries, which helped him boost his confidence ahead of the upcoming two-match Test series between the senior sides of the two countries.

Once the left-handed batter reached his second century, some of the Sri Lanka A players gathered together and checked Sudharsan’s bat to find the AI chip. They had a hilarious chat among themselves too on the entire situation, as Devdutt Padikkal, the on-striker, was shocked at the funny situation.

Sudharsan has overall gathered 383 runs in 12 innings of the red-ball format at an average of around 32 and a strike rate of 43.32 with the help of three half-centuries at the best score of 87 runs. The pressure has been huge on the left-handed batter to do well in the longest format of the game.
In the opening unofficial Test against Sri Lanka A, Sudharsan smashed a dashing knock of 132 runs off just 175 balls in the first innings, including 19 boundaries. He was retired hurt on seven runs in the second innings.
