India's star opener Sanju Samson has written a heartfelt message for the fans for consistent support throughout the years after his match-winning knock against the West Indies in the Super 8 game in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. Samson slammed an unbeaten 50-ball 97 runs and helped India get past the victory line.

The win was extremely crucial as India are through to the semi-finals and will play against on March 5 in Mumbai. Writing to the fans, Samson expressed gratitude for their support throughout. There were many people who stood by him and supported him even when he wasn't in the team or wasn't performing well.

Samson took to his Instagram story to express gratitude. He wrote, "Just wanted to reach out and convey my heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone of you who showed love, support, and kept me in your memories. Seeing and experiencing so much love coming my way truly means a lot. Just want to say, Thank you all. Two more steps to go, India."

The opener was dropped from the team during the T20I series against India, and Ishan Kishan replaced him. However, Samson was picked up to play against Zimbabwe, where he gave a brilliant start to the team. In the match against the West Indies, he played an incredible knock, which will be an unforgettable memory for a long time.

India to face England in semi-final

The Men in Blue will face England in the semi-final 2 in Mumbai on March 5. The match will not be an easy one since the English team is balanced and have been unbeaten in the Super 8 stage. The toss will also be an important factor in the match since the pitch conditions and dew might interrupt.

Either way, India will have to win the game to qualify for the finals. The finals will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, the first semi-final is between South Africa and New Zealand on March 4 in Kolkata. Two back-to-back thrilling games are scheduled for the cricket fans to watch. It will be intriguing to watch who enters the finals.
