Sanju Samson to join CSK, RR can rope in Ravichandran Ashwin: Report

The hype before the mini auction for next season's Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) is no less than a mega auction. Multiple big names can be traded; social media has been buzzing around these kinds of speculations.

Latest reports about Sanju Samson and Rajasthan Royals worked as a catalyst behind speculations. On Saturday morning, a few other reports indicated that Ravichandran Ashwin also can change his IPL address. Sanju Samson is all set to join Chennai Super Kings (CSK), while R. Ashwin is ready to join Rajasthan Royals (RR), fresh reports have claimed. It is further reported that both players urged their respective franchises not to release them but to trade.

If the media claims are to be believed, then Ashwin and Sanju's next destinations are already fixed, as they do not want to try their luck in the upcoming auction. If they go to auction as free players, then every franchise will have the opportunity to cash in for these prolific players. But if they choose to be traded, then they will not have to wait till the auction. If Sanju left Rajasthan for CSK and Ashwin went to Rajasthan, then RR can benefit financially.
