According to that report, that player suffered an injury on his face when a ball hit his face. While the impact was very strong, the player had bleeding. He was hospitalised soon after receiving the primary treatment on the field.

The injured player was the 18-year-old Sahil Parakh. He is the left-handed opening batter and a part-time leg-spinner. DC bought him from the IPL 2026 auction for INR 30 lakhs. He is the youngest player in the present DC squad.
