Scotland star all-rounder rejoins Hobart Hurricanes as team announces squad for WBBL 2025
The Hobart Hurricanes have welcomed back Scotland all-rounder Kathryn Bryce as they officially announced their complete squad for the WBBL 2025 season.

The Hobart Hurricanes have confirmed their full squad for the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2025 season, with Scotland all-rounder Kathryn Bryce returning to the team. The franchise announced her re-signing on social media, completing what looks like a strong and balanced lineup. Bryce, who made her WBBL debut last season as an ICC Associate Rookie, impressed everyone with her consistent performances with both bat and ball.
Her return is considered a smart move by the Hurricanes, who are looking to strengthen their all-round options ahead of a very important season. The team management has focused on maintaining a mix of experienced players and young talent to give the side depth in every department. Bryce’s all-round skills will give the Hurricanes more balance and flexibility as they aim for success in WBBL 11.
The Hurricanes squad includes many senior players such as captain Elyse Villani, Nicola Carey, Heather Graham, and Molly Strano. All four bring experience, leadership, and stability to the team. Villani and Carey will once again lead the batting group, while Graham’s ability to contribute with both bat and ball makes her one of the key players in the side.
Strong Core and Balanced Team
The Hurricanes have also kept their international stars, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, Lizelle Lee, and Nat Sciver-Brunt. These world-class players bring with them the ability to change matches and strengthen both the batting and bowling departments. Furthermore, youngsters Rachel Trenaman, Ruth Johnston, and Isabella Malgioglio are expected to play larger roles this season.

Head coach Jude Coleman should be pleased with the overall balance of the squad. With experience, youth, and all-round strength well represented, the Hurricanes are backing themselves to improve on previous performances and make a strong claim on the WBBL 2025 title.
