"Seems to Intimidate Pakistan" – Former England skipper trolls Green Army after T20 World Cup 2026 defeat to India
Former England captain Michael Vaughan trolled Pakistan, saying India “seem to intimidate” them after their T20 World Cup 2026 loss. His comment sparked reactions as India dominated the match and advanced to the Super Eights.

Pakistan lost their blockbuster clash with arch-rivals India on Sunday by 61 runs, being bowled out for 114 in Colombo.
With this win, India advanced to the Super Eights. Pakistan will now have to beat Namibia in their last group-stage match on February 18 to qualify for the next round.
Addressing this matter, former England captain Michael Vaughan said that India “seem to intimidate Pakistan on the cricket field.” His statement also created another controversy.
Michael Vaughan’s Take on the Game
Former England captain Michael Vaughan said India “seem to intimidate Pakistan on the cricket field.” He added, “They are so much better in all parts of the game and have a better mentality for big occasions.”
Former Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar praised India’s performance, saying the powerplay was where India took control. In his X post, he said, “Ishan Kishan in the first innings, and the clinical bowling in the second innings, made all the difference. We were always in the driver’s seat. India rocked it tonight!”
Pakistan Struggles to Recover
On a turning pitch, Ishan Kishan’s 77 runs off 40 balls gave India a strong position. By the time Usman Tariq, Pakistan’s mystery spinner, bowled, India were already 92 for 2 after 10 overs. Tariq took 1 for 24 in four overs, and Saim Ayub dismissed Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya in consecutive balls to finish with 3 for 25, but Pakistan’s fight came too late. India finished 175 for 7, leaving Pakistan needing around nine runs per over against the best bowling attack.
Pakistan bowled only two overs of pace, both from Shaheen Afridi, which gave 31 runs. But in two overs, Pakistan had already lost three wickets to fast bowling. Jasprit Bumrah trapped Saim Ayub with a yorker and got Salman Agha out with another ball. From 13 for 3, Pakistan knew the game was lost. Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, and Kuldeep Yadav bowled with skill and ensured Pakistan could not recover.
India’s win extended their amazing record in global tournaments. Since 2023, India has played 28 matches and won 27, losing only once to Australia in the ODI World Cup final.
For Pakistan, the defeat puts their Super Eights hopes in danger. If they lose to Namibia on Wednesday, they will be out of the competition, and the United States will take their place. The match showed how Pakistan are far behind India, both on and off the field.
