During the T20 Blast 2026 game between Lancashire and Leicestershire at Grace Road in Leicester, Shadab Khan grabbed a stunning catch at the boundary rope.

During the T20 Blast 2026 encounter between Lancashire and Leicestershire at Grace Road in Leicester, Shadab Khan showed his superb acrobatics in the field as he grabbed a superb diving catch near the boundary rope to send back the opening batter, Rishi Patel, as it went viral on social media platforms. 

After a few weeks of the County Championship in the red-ball format, the action of the shortest format returned as a few of the national players for the England side also turned up for the Blast games as they prepare themselves for the upcoming five-match T20I series at home against India, starting on July 01.

It was the last delivery of the eighth over of the first innings when Jack Blatherwick went for a short ball against the right-handed opening batter, Rishi Patel, who was undone by the pace of the ball and couldn’t get the bat on the ball from the middle.

The ball went high in the air towards the deep square leg where Shadab Khan was stationed. The former all-rounder of the Pakistan side was a bit in front of the field where he needed to go back to hold the ball and complete the catch.

He dived well and kept the ball in his hand despite falling on the ground and completed a very good catch to get the momentum in their favor with Rishi’s wicket.

Leicestershire, while batting first, posted a decent score of 156 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs during the contest against Lancashire as Nick Kelly remained unbeaten on 49 runs off 44 balls at a strike rate of 111.36, thanks to four boundaries and one six.  

Ashton Turner also contributed 32 runs off 23 balls at a strike rate of nearly 140 with four boundaries, while Rishi Patel slammed 38 runs off 28 balls, shouldering on four boundaries and one six. Shadab was also in the wickets column to end with 1/23 in four overs at an economy rate of 5.75.

Lancashire completed the chase with an over to spare and five wickets in hand. England's Liam Livingstone nailed 74 runs off 43 balls at a strike rate of 172.09, with the help of two boundaries and seven sixes.
