The win was largely driven by Bangladesh’s spin duo, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan, who took seven wickets between them to decimate Pakistan's batting order. Mehidy grabbed an impressive 4-21 while Shakib took 3-44, triggering a collapse that saw Pakistan dismissed for 146 in their second innings after 55.5 overs. Mohammad Rizwan top-scored for Pakistan with 51, but his efforts couldn’t prevent a loss. Bangladesh's openers, Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam, comfortably chased the 30-run target in just 6.3 overs, sealing a memorable victory.
