After defeat in the first match at Headingley, India bounced back through the Edgbaston Test. Now, as the series is balancing on a 1-1 scoreline, the home team will try their best to take a step forward by winning the upcoming third match of the series, which is scheduled to be arranged at the iconic Lord's cricket ground.

The nature of the surface was not like an ideal English pitch, where bowlers could dominate the match. England skipper Ben Stokes openly criticized the Edgbaston surface for behaving like a 'subcontinent' track. Later, their head coach Brendon McCullum also sounded similar and revealed his dissatisfaction over the surface.
