For the Gujarat Titans, Shubman Gill scored 39, Jos Buttler added 38, and Glenn Phillips and Washington Sundar chipped in with useful contributions.
In reply, Punjab Kings successfully chased the target in 19.1 overs, with Cooper Connolly leading the effort with an unbeaten 72 off 44 balls. Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers for the Gujarat Titans with three wickets, while Rashid Khan and Washington Sundar took one wicket each.
The victory, however, came with a minor injury concern for Shreyas Iyer, who was struck on the wrist by a powerful shot from Connolly at the non-striker’s end and required brief medical attention.
Speaking after the match, Iyer said his hand was fine, and there was no major issue.
