India’s ODI and Test captain, Shubman Gill, was recently seen driving his convertible Mercedes in Punjab. The 26-year-old is not part of India’s squad for the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026after he was left out due to poor form. Meanwhile, India will take on England in the semifinal on March 5 in Mumbai.

In the past few weeks, Gill has been spending some time away from cricket. In February, he visited Paris Saint-Germain F.C. in France and met some of the club’s star footballers. He was also recently seen at his cousin’s wedding.

Now, a new video has appeared on social media. The clip, shared on March 4, shows Gill enjoying a relaxed drive in his luxury convertible in Punjab.

Shubman Gill set to lead Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026

The southpaw from Punjab will return to action in the Indian Premier League 2026, which is likely to start on March 28. He will continue to lead the Gujarat Titans in the tournament. In the 2025 season, GT’s campaign ended after they lost to the Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator.

So far in his IPL career, Gill has played 118 matches. He has scored 3,866 runs at an average of 39.44 and a strike rate of 138.71. The right-hand batter has hit 26 fifties and four centuries. His highest score in the league is 129.

Gill has also built a strong record in international cricket. He made his ODI debut against the New Zealand national cricket team in 2019. Since then, he has played 61 ODI matches and scored 2,953 runs at an average of 55.71 with a strike rate of 99.02. His record includes 17 fifties and eight centuries.

In Test cricket, Gill has played 40 matches and scored 2,843 runs at an average of 43.07. He has registered eight half-centuries and 10 hundreds in the format.

In T20Is, Gill has appeared in 36 matches and scored 869 runs at an average of 28.03 with a strike rate of 138.59. His record in the format includes three fifties and one century.
