Smriti Mandhana is celebrating her 29th birthday today, i.e., on 18th July. Her journey to becoming the Queen of Indian Cricket has been long and inspiring. Coming from Maharashtra, she found inspiration in her elder brother, who played cricket. At the age of 9, she was selected for Maharashtra's Under-15 team. From there, her journey began, and she never looked back. In 2013, she got the chance to make her international debut. After that, Mandhana made her mark not just in Indian cricket but also in world cricket. Today, she is counted among the best women cricketers in the world.

Talking about her achievements, in June 2018, BCCI honoured her with the Best International Cricketer award. In the same year, ICC gave her the Cricketer of the Year award. In December 2021, she became the T20 Player of the Year. She was also nominated for the Cricketer of the Year award in the same year. In 2022, ICC again named her the Cricketer of the Year. 1. Smriti Mandhana is the only Indian woman cricketer who has scored centuries in all three formats of international cricket.

2. She has scored the most centuries by an Indian in women’s ODIs. She has 10 centuries. She is at number four on the overall list, after Meg Lanning (15), Suzie Bates (13), and Tammy Beaumont (11).

3. Smriti is the highest run-scorer for India in women’s T20Is. In 153 matches, she has scored 3982 runs with an average of 29.93.

4. She has the record for the highest score in one T20I match by an Indian woman. She scored 112 runs against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, in June 2025.

5. Smriti is the only Indian to score more than 200 runs in a T20I series. In a recent series against England, she scored 221 runs in five matches with an average of 44.20.

6. She also made the most centuries in a single year in WODIs. Last year, she scored 4 centuries. She broke the record of players like Belinda Clark, Meg Lanning, and others who had 3 centuries in one year.

7. Smriti is the only batter to hit 100 or more fours in WODIs in one year. Last year, she hit 104 fours in 23 matches. She broke Hayley Matthews’ record of 99 fours in 2023.

8. She has made the most 50+ scores in WODIs. She broke Suzie Bates’ record of 29 scores of 50 or more in T20Is.

9. Smriti also has the most runs in a single year in women’s T20Is. This year, in 23 matches, she scored 763 runs with an average of 42.38. Her highest score was 77.

10. She is the fastest Indian woman to score 4000 runs in T20Is. She broke Mithali Raj’s record by doing this in just 112 innings.
