Virat Kohli has reached Perth for the preparation of the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, which is scheduled to begin on October 19 at the Optus Stadium. The veteran has already gone through two practice sessions, as on the opening evening net session, the right-handed batter looked to grind in the middle to find the same rhythm.

However, Kohli’s brother, Vikas, has put a scathing message on his Insta story. He reckoned that he hadn’t been surprised at the way people had reacted and pushed the fake news around social media. Vikas also addressed that these days people are free and have so much time to do these things.

“I am not surprised about so much misinformation and fake news going around these days. Some people are so free and have lots of time to do so. Good luck to you guys.” Vikas expressed on his Insta story, which has started speculation in Kohli’s fandom. He will be back for the Blue Brigade since the final of the Champions Trophy 2025 against New Zealand in Dubai.

This could be indicated by the news, which reported that Kohli has transferred the power of attorney for his Gurugram property to his elder brother, Vikas. The experienced campaigner reportedly visited the Wazirabad tehsil office to complete the paperwork and register the General Power of Attorney (GPA) in his brother’s name.

Kohli is the third leading run-getter in the 50-over format. The Delhi-born has smashed 14181 runs in 290 innings at an average of 57.88 and a strike rate of 93.34 with the help of 51 centuries and 74 half-centuries at the best score of 183 runs. He will be back in Australia, perhaps for the last time in his career.

In the net session on October 16, Kohli spent time against the local net bowlers of Perth, besides facing Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana in the optional practice session. Even though he looked a bit scratchy at the start, he got the fluency by the end of the session.
