"Ground Tumhara, Jeet Hamari"—that's how the official promo video was released by the official broadcasting partner Sony Sports. The video features none other than Jasprit Bumrah, the solitary man who fought restlessly against Australia during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where India failed miserably, but the way Bumrah performed, Indian cricket fans will remember for a long time.
In typical English conditions, where balls can gain extra bounce and swing in both ways, there are bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah with the abilities to move the ball in both ways with a good amount of pace, which can prove more lethal against the host team. The Indian pace star has a good record against England in the past.
The last time India was up against England, it was a home series in 2024. Bumrah, in 4 matches, took a total of nine wickets, including a 9-wicket haul in Visakhapatnam and 6 wickets in Hyderabad. Back in 2021, when India traveled to England in August, Bumrah again claimed a bagful of wickets: 9 wickets in Nottingham, 3 in Lord's, 2 and 4 slaps in Leeds and The Oval, respectively.

Though Bumrah may not be available for all 5 matches in England, hinted at by BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar. He said during a press conference, "Whether it’s four or three, we will see how the series goes and how his body takes the workload. He is very important to us. Even if he is fit for three or four Test matches, he is going to win us Test matches. We are glad he is fit and the setback he had in Australia wasn’t too bad. He has started playing again; I know it’s T20 cricket at the moment, but we have seen what he is doing in the IPL. I am very happy he is part of the squad."
