IPL 2025 had been called off amid the growing tension between India and Pakistan. The group stage of the tournament was nearing the end when the decision was announced. It was a match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals (PBKS vs. DC) in Dharamshala, which got more intense due to loud air raid sirens in the nearby city of Pathankot.
The match was called off at the midway, and visitors had to leave the stadium for security measures. The following day, when the Indo-Pak military clash was looking more fierce, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had no choice but to suspend the tournament.
Initially the board decided to suspend the tournament for only one week, but as per the current scenario, the tension between the two countries is far away from easing down. Many cricket fans already booked their tickets in advance to see their favorite team in action.

As per the previous schedule, today (Saturday, May 10), Sunrisers Hyderabad was assigned a match against Kolkata Knight Riders (SRH vs. KKR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. As the match is not going to happen today and there is no confirmation about when the match can be staged, SRH has decided to refund the prices of the tickets already sold.
Sunrisers Hyderabad informed their followers regarding the ticket refund process by stating, "In light of the current situation, #TATAIPL2025 has been suspended with immediate effect. Ticket refund details will be communicated shortly."
