Sri Lanka on Thursday named their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup, as confirmed by the International Cricket Council. The tournament is set to begin on January 15.

The Sri Lankan side will be captained by Vimath Dinsara, named captain for the global event. Kavija Gamage will serve as vice-captain. The squad includes a good mix of batters, all-rounders, and bowlers, giving the team balance going into the tournament.

Sri Lanka has been placed in Group A alongside defending champions Australia U19, Ireland U19, and Japan U19. They will start their campaign against Japan on January 17, with the group stage expected to be highly competitive.

Tournament Format and Sri Lanka Squad

The Under-19 World Cup will be co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia. The tournament will run from January 15 to February 6 and will include 16 teams. Tanzania U19 will be making their debut in the competition.

With several promising young players in the squad, the team will depend on solid top-order batting, useful all-round options, and a disciplined bowling attack to challenge the top youth sides.
