Key players to watch:

Charith Asalanka (C)
Asalanka's leadership has been a major boost for Sri Lanka in the recent past. His middle-order control and the ability to lead from the front are crucial in this series.
Wanindu Hasaranga
One of the best white-ball all-rounders, Hasaranga's leg-spin and batting skill set make him an automatic inclusion against Australia.

Kusal Mendis
Mendis comes into the playing XI with good batting experience, consistency, and providing stability for a long period to the batting order.
Wellalage  & Theekshana
The spin duo of Wellalage and Theekshana is likely to test the Aussie batsmen considerably, especially on spin-friendly pitches.
