Star India all-rounder Jadeja praises his ability to bat on his right and bowl on his left

In terms of batting and bowling options, India is spoiled for choice. As for the bowling attack, the management has a wide pool of talent to choose from and a good opening mix. Still, Asian heavyweights are seeking an all-rounder who can fulfill the functions of a complete player.

In the upcoming IPL, Jadeja will play against New Zealand, where he last competed for India in November. Rajasthan Royals, the defending champions of the 2008 season, had Jadeja as a member of their squad. With MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Moeen Ali as their first choices, he has been retained by CSKs. The team appears to be looking at alternatives to Hardik Pandya since he has dealt with injury issues in the past two years. Ajay Jadeja believes the management of the team does not need to consider options other than Ravindra Jadeja when it comes to all-rounders. Jadeja, 33, has played 57 Tests, 168 ODIs, and 55 T20Is for India. “I’ve seen Rohit captain India and he has a pure approach. The captain wants five bowlers he can trust. In the bowling lineup, he won’t replace Bumrah or Shami. Jadeja will be Rohit’s lone all-rounder, according to me,” stated Jadeja during a recent press conference.

“India does not need another all-rounder. The team consists of Hardik, Pant, Ishan, Suryakumar, Rohit, Kohli, and Rahul. Yes, they could try Venkatesh Iyer and Ruturaj Gaikwad, but Rohit and Rahul are already in place. Ravindra Jadeja can be considered a complete all-rounder,” he further added.
