In an act of great patriotism, India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav declared he would donate all his Asia Cup 2025 match fees to the Indian Army. He made this announcement during the post-match press conference.

"I personally want to give all my match fees from this tournament (from all the games) to the Indian army," Suryakumar Yadav said at the post-match press conference.

The India vs Pakistan match was thrilling; I had to wait till the last over of the second innings to find out the winner of the match and the champion of the tournament as well. But what happened after the match was more dramatic than the match itself. Team India refused to receive the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, who is Pakistan's interior minister and Asian Cricket Council president. India started to celebrate the celebration after a prolonged delay, without the trophy. Later, media reports claimed that Men in Blue was prepared to receive the trophy from Emirates Cricket Board vice-chairman Khalid Al Zarooni, but Naqvi denied the proposal.

Suryakumar Yadav mentioned that it was their hard earned trophy

India captain Suryakumar Yadav, during the press conference, stated that he never experienced such situations in his entire cricket career. He mentioned that they worked hard to win the trophy.

"This is one thing that I have never seen since I have started playing cricket, since I have started following cricket, that a champion team is denied a trophy. That too was a hard-earned one; it's not like we got it easily. It was a hard-earned tournament. We have been here since the 4th and played two back-to-back good games. I feel we deserved it. I can't say anything more; I think I have summed it up really well. I can't say anything more about it," Yadav stated.
