On February 8, England will kick off their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against Nepal in the first round of Group C at the historic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. England, two-time champions of the T20 World Cup, are looking for their third title. With Harry Brook at the helm, England boasts a deep and flexible batting order across its line-up. England has numerous match-winners (ie., Jos Buttler, Will Jacks and Sam Curran) who can destroy any bowling attack when given an opportunity and are eager to lay down a marker with an emphatic start.

Nepal will make their entry into the T20 World Cup believing that they are well-prepared after qualifying convincingly through the Super Six stage of the Asia-EAP Regional Qualifier. The T20 World Cup 2026 will mark Nepal's third time competing; however, they’re hoping to set a new milestone by making it past the group stage for the first time. Nepal skipper Rohit Paudel will rely heavily on the experience of players such as Kushal Bhurtel, Dipendra Singh Airee, and superstar leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane to create a challenge for higher-ranked teams.
