T20 World Cup 2026: Player of the Match, Player of the Tournament and full awards list after IND vs NZ Final

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 ended in a strong fashion, as India beat New Zealand in the Final by 96 runs to create history by securing the trophy for the record third time. 

Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosted the Final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday night (March 8), where more than 120,000 people were present on the field. 

After New Zealand chose to bowl first, India slammed with 255/5 in 20 overs, where the top three batters scored 50+ runs (Sanju Samson 89, Abhishek Sharma 52, Ishan Kishan 54). In reply, New Zealand were all out for 159 runs in 19 overs, as the Men in Blue won the record-breaking third T20 World Cup title on their home ground.

Indian right-arm fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah for finishing with the incredible bowling figures of 4-0-15-4.

Player of the Tournament

Indian opening batter Sanju Samson, who scored 321 runs in five innings with an average of 80.25 and a strike rate of 199.37, including three half-centuries. He finished as the third leading run-scorer in the competition.
