Tahlia McGrath has been named as the new No. 1. 1st-ranked batter in women’s T20Is, just over a year after making her T20I debut, following her impressive performances in Mumbai against India’s first two matches.

McGrath, who made her T20I debut in October 2021, has already established herself as a top performer for Australia across all formats. 

She has scored 485 runs in ten innings in T20Is, with an average strike rate of 149.69 and an average strikeout rate of 121.25. In the main T20I against India in the continuous series, she scored an unbeaten 40 off 29 balls in Australia’s success and followed it up with a 51-ball 70 in the subsequent game, which finished in a Really Over misfortune. She has moved up three spots, passing teammates Meg Lanning, Beth Mooney, and Smriti Mandhana to become the fourth and 12th Australian to lead the table overall. There are currently five batters from Australia in that top ten.

In the most recent update to the rankings, Sophie Devine, Shafali Verma, and Alyssa Healy were among the other batters to advance one spot, moving up to fourth, sixth, and eighth, respectively. Mandhana, at the moment No. Following her 79 runs off 49 deliveries in the second Twenty20 International, Sarah Glenn moved up one spot to No. 3 among bowlers, gaining 11 rating points to reach a career-best 741 points. 2, and Katherine Brunt moved up one spot to No. 6.

In the meantime, Ellyse Perry has once again surpassed Hayley Matthews to become the No. 1 ODI player. one all-arounder After Karen Rolton (2725), Enid Bakewell (2611), and Stafanie Taylor (1947), Perry has spent 1787 days at the top, the fourth-most of any competitor.
